Staff and students of the University of Technology took part in the annual Erasmus+ International Week

19.11.2020 Staff and students of the University of Technology took part in the annual Erasmus+ International Week

The annual Erasmus+ International Week was held 9-13 November, 2020, at the  «1 Decembrie 1918» University in Alba Iulia (Romania).

This year, the events were held in an online format, but this has not become an obstacle for the further development of partnerships between the University of Technology and universities participating in the program. The lecturers, staff and students from 49 institutions of Europe, South America, Australia, Russia and Asia took part in the Erasmus+ International Week 2020. In the modern world, the events of this level are important for the professional and personal development of students, strengthening cooperation with international partners and achieving the common goals in the field of internationalization of higher education.

This time, 18 students of the University of Technology have completed training in the Erasmus+ Autumn School «Innovations of a New Generation of the EU», having listened to the lectures given by teachers of foreign universities in the areas of «Computer Science», «Electronics», «Mechanics», «Marketing», «Psychology», «Philology» and «Linguistics», which allowed them not only to gain new knowledge, but also to practice in English.

The employees of the Vice-Rector's for International Affairs and Continuing Education Service took an active part in webinars and round tables within the framework of the research workshop «Internalization of Higher Education: Problems and Prospects», where, together with foreign colleagues, they discussed new formats of work in modern realities.

Erasmus+ is the European Union program of student and teacher exchange aimed at supporting the cooperation in education, vocational training, youth and sports. The University has been a partner of the program since 2014 and annually hosts the students from the program's participating countries and sends its students to the exchange education at foreign universities.
