The Department was founded on the basis of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Chief Scientific Metrological Center" of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation in 2012.

27.03.02 Quality Management

The major is focused on the professional activity in which the analysis of the product quality (works or services) is carried out and measures are developed to influence the process of creating products/services to ensure the highest quality indicators through the implementation of quality control measures and management decisions making.

The major is focused on training of highly qualified specialists who are able to search for ideas, products and services that can be brought to the market, based on information about innovations in the world, to determine the pay back of this or that product and the society's needs in it.

The specialists of this major learn to see risks and costs, calculate liquidity, find sources of necessary funding for project development, as well as carry out planning, business planning, design and a product's or service's promotion from a scientific point of view.
