Activity

International scientific and educational cooperation is the most important component of the general development strategy of the University. This activity is carried out within programs of cooperation with leading foreign higher education institutions by the implementation of joint research work, coorganizing conferences, practical seminars, exchange of teaching staff and development of student mobility.

In accordance with the signed agreements the University of Technology actively conducts science and educational activities with overseas partner-universities. Over 50 agreements with foreign universities have already been concluded, including networking agreements and 11 academic exchange agreements within the Erasmus+ program.

The internationalization of education is an integral part of the University of Technology international activity. More than 6,000 students are enrolled at the University of Technology, including about 600 foreign students from 11 countries.

The international activity of the University of Technology is focused on:

- Integration into the world science and education community.

- Training of the highly demanded specialists of international level.

- University rating upgrade both in the Russian Federation and abroad.

- Increase in volume of export educational services for foreign students.

International Department offers support and advice on all international matters to Russian and international students, academic staff and guests of our University.

International Department is in charge of developing internationalization at UNITECH and expanding cooperation between our University and other institutions. Fostering of international collaboration and partnerships plays a key role in UNITECH’s institutional strategy. We aim to consolidate and broaden the base of existing international relations and create new ones.

International Department is responsible for UNITECH’s exchange programs and can consultyou on scholarships and other forms of support. We provide information about opportunities to study or research abroad.

UNITECH wishes to equip its students for international competition and promotes therefore academic exchanges and study abroad programs. We already have best practices and a relatively good range of exchange programs within the Erasmus+ program, the scholarships of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and partnership cooperation agreements.

UNITECH International Department encourages the students to spend more time abroad by providing relevant academic service and a wider choice of attractive offers. The proportion of mobile students should increase. Our University aims to have at least 10% of our undergraduates go overseas at least once during the course of their studies.

The success of the University is confirmed by the growth of indexes in the annual higher educational establishments efficiency monitoring, conducted by the Department for State Policy in Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. Students, postgraduates and the teaching staff of the University win the international grants, participate in the joint research projects with foreign universities, publish academic papers both in the Russian and foreign journals.

The University of Technology is registered in the database of Anabin, the international university acknowledgement system, having Í+ status. This status allows the University graduates to nostrificate their diplomas in EU countries, participate in the competitive tenders for European research and educational grants and obtain employment in the foreign companies.
