International Student Scientific and Practical Conference «Science, Culture and youth» was held at the University

At Leonov University of Technology VIII International Student Scientific and Practical Conference «Science, Culture and Youth» was held. The conference was organized by the University Department of Foreign Languages.

The welcoming speech was made by acting Rector of the University of Technology Vyacheslav Startsev and Head of the Department of Foreign Languages Tamara Krasikova. Yaroslav Kultan, Honored Professor of the University of Economics in Bratislava (Slovakia), greeted the participants via video link and made a presentation.

Every year at the conference of the University of Technology, the students from various Russian and foreign universities have the opportunity not only to demonstrate their knowledge of foreign languages, but also to exchange views on topical issues of science and society. Therefore, the conference is of great interest to the students from Russia and abroad, and the number of reports is growing from year to year. This year, 174 reports were announced, of which 29 were presented in person at the plenary session in four workshops: «Actual Problems of our Time», «The Role of a Foreign Language in Life and Profession», «Innovative Development of Technical and Natural Sciences» and «World Trends in Scientific Thought». The reports were made in Russian, English, French and German languages.

In addition to the students and postgraduate students of the University of Technology, the students of other universities took part in the conference both in person and in absentia. Among the participants of the conference were the students of the Belarusian State University, the Baranavichy State University, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, the Academy of Social Management (ASOU), Lomonosov Moscow State University, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Rostov Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Budyonny Military Academy of Communications, Moscow International University and other universities. As well as the students of schools with in-depth study of foreign languages took part in the conference.

The topics of the conference reports were hotly discussed by the participants in foreign and Russian languages. The students demonstrated a high level of the foreign languages knowledge, as well as a broad outlook and interest in scientific research.

The materials of the conference participants will be published in the form of a collection. Everyone interested in foreign languages and student science will be able to get acquainted with the materials.
