12.12.2019 GOVERNOR OF THE MOSCOW REGION ANDREI  VOROBYOV OPENED THE MEMORIAL PLATE ON ASSIGNMENT OF ALEXEI LEONOV NAME TO THE UNIVERSITY  OF TECHNOLOGY.

The University of Technology was assigned the name of the USSR pilot-cosmonaut , twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Alexei Leonov who was the first human to walk into outer space.

During a working visit to the science city of Korolyov, the Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrei Vorobyov, visited the University of Technology. During the solemn meeting, in which together with the honored guests the University students and professors took part, Andrei Vorobyov announced the text of the resolution on assigning the name of the USSR pilot-cosmonaut, twice Hero of the Soviet Union Alexei Leonov to the University of Technology.

The Governor inaugurated the commemorative plaque dedicated to this event. It was installed on the facade of the building of the University of Technology Space Engineering and Technology College.

Then Andrei Vorobyov visited the IT workshops, opened at the University not long ago. They are primarily intended for training personnel for industrial enterprises using the information technology and artificial intelligence opportunities. The Governor talked with the students and tested the equipment that allows to work with the “digital twins” of real objects and technological processes.

In addition, the Head of the Region got acquainted with the activities of the University Management Center, located in one of the information workshops-laboratories, recently opened at the University of Technology College .
