Exchange studies. University students completed training abroad

30.06.2020 Exchange studies. University students completed training abroad

The University of Technology is actively implementing academic mobility in the framework of Erasmus+ programs, inter-university agreements and through the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Participating in them, the students have a unique opportunity to undergo training and internships in various universities of Europe and Asia – partners of the University of Technology. The number of those universities is growing year by year.

So, in the 2019/2020 academic year, eight students of the University of Technology have already finished or are currently completing studies at the overseas universities such as the Comenius University in Bratislava, University of Economics and the University of Zilina in the Slovak Republic, «1 Decembrie 1918» University of Alba Iulia in Romania, Bjelovar University of Applied Sciences in Croatia, University of Nis in Serbia and the Finance Academy in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the foreign partner universities the students studied for a term in the same major as they train at the University of Technology. Thus, the students have not missed six months from the curriculum, but added the foreign experience of studies to their skills. For example, Tatyana Vasilyeva and Elena Galanova, specializing in «Sociology» major at the University of Technology, studied such disciplines as data analysis, social work and deviant behavior at the University of Nis. And Anastasia Shapovalova, a student of the «Information Security» major, has significantly broadened her knowledge in the field of information technology at the «1 Decembrie 1918» University of Alba Iulia.

The training process and the session in foreign universities are completely in English. Therefore, the students not only adopted the best professional practices from foreign academicians and specialists, but also underwent language practice, and, of course, got acquainted with the history and culture of foreign countries.

In turn, this academic year the University of Technology has also hosted international exchange students. Five young people from Romania completed their university studies in such majors as «Applied Mathematics», «Economics» and «Management» in the spring term.

Welcome to the University of Technology and you will also have a chance to study abroad!
