University of Technology – participant of the VIII International Forum of Leading Universities «Global Competitiveness»

Representatives of the University of Technology rectorate headed by Rector Alexey Shchikanov took part in the VIII International Forum of Leading Universities «Global Competitiveness», organized by RAEX rating agency. 

Forum brought together the rectors of all leading Russian universities. During the plenary discussion they talked over the key trends that will determine the competitiveness of universities after the end of the pandemic. 

Alexei Shchikanov, the rector of the University of Technology, spoke in the Forum section «Impact of information technologies on the competitiveness of universities». He shared with colleagues the experience of the University of Technology in implementing information technologies in the educational process and the University's own developments in creating an online educational platform. 

During the Forum, a solemn ceremony was held to award winners based on the results of RAEX rankings. This year, the University of Technology entered the «100 best universities in Russia» ranking for the third time. 

Also at the Forum the significant work of the University of Technology in promoting information and digital technologies in the educational process was noted. This is what allowed the university to enter the top 50 universities in the field of IT technologies, taking 18th place in Russia, according to RAEX.
