UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY – MAKS 2019

27.08.2019 The University of Technology took part in the International Aviation and Space Salon -MAKS 2019 , held within August 27-September 1 in Zhukovsky. The institution is a regular participant of the Salon and this year has presented the achievements of its research activity for the third time. The research and development of the Engineering Center “High Temperature Composite Materials”, established by the University of Technology in association with JSC “Kompozit”, were exposed at the University stand. The visitors of the Salon could see the complete cycle of creating the advanced composite materials and composite material products for various industrial spheres. The end products samples, manufactured .by the Engineering Center, were also exhibited at the stand. MAKS guests acquainted with the University of Technology research project “Lunodrom”. This is a site for testing the equipment and structures of the advanced space technologies. The fragment of the spacesuit (cuirass), made by the Engineering Center of the University was demonstrated at the stand. Besides, the visitors of the University stand could learn more about the students’ research activities and studied the materials’ composition and properties in the zone “Probe Microscopy”. Tatiana Starseva, the Rector of the University of Technology, made a speech at the opening of Future Hub Pavilion and exposition “Clear Prop!”, representing youth science division at the International Aviation and Space Salon 2019. The University team prepared a special program in which the students demonstrated the achievements of the institution youth science developments and taught a master class on creating sport rocket model.
