University of Technology deepens cooperation with partner Irish university

13.02.2020 University of Technology deepens cooperation with partner Irish university

Today, Rachel Ni Neill, a representative of the International department of the Institute of Technology, Carlow (Ireland), visited the University of Technology.

As part of her visit, the representative of the Irish University visited the  Space Engineering and Technology College of the  University of Technology, where, accompanied by Alexei Shchikanov, First Vice-Rector, and Evgeny Samarov, Vice-Rector for Development, became familiar with IT laboratories recently opened at the University. Rachel Ni Neill got acquainted with the capabilities and equipment of these workshops and discussed with the colleagues further interaction in the field of information security and VR-technologies implementation in the educational process.

The representative from Ireland  also took an interest in the educational portal, developed by the employees of the University of Technology, and the rating system for students and teachers. Rachel Ni Neill highly appreciated the efficiency of such a system and said that she would invite specialists at the Carlow Institute of Technology to adopt the best practices of the University of Technology.

In addition, a tour was conducted for Rachel Ni Neill to the University Space Museum and the exhibition dedicated to Alexey Leonov, astronaut, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, whose name was assigned to the University of Technology at the end of 2019.

It is not the first visit of the representative of the Irish University to UNITECH. Rachel Ni Neill already arrived in Korolev on October 8, 2019 . During that meeting, the agreement on interinstitutional cooperation and  agreement on cooperation within grant Erasmus+ program were signed. This meeting has become a kind of consolidation of partnerships between the universities: the parties discussed collaboration within the joint implementation of academic and student mobility, the scientific interaction, as well as joint holding of conferences and participation in them.
