The international activity of the University of Technology is focused on:
- Integration into the world science and education community
- Training of the highly demanded specialists of international level
- University rating upgrade both in the Russian Federation and abroad
- Increase in volume of export educational services for foreign students.
The success of the University is confirmed by the growth of indexes in the annual higher educational establishments efficiency monitoring, conducted by the Department for State Policy in Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. Students, postgraduates and the teaching staff of the University win the international grants, participate in the joint research projects with foreign universities, publish academic papers both in Russian and foreign journals.
The University of Technology is registered in the database of Anabin, the international university acknowledgement system, having «Í+» status. This status allows the University graduates to nostrificate their diplomas in EU countries, participate in the competitive tenders for European research and educational grants and obtain employment in the foreign companies.
The University of Technology is an international student community. Currently there are more than 500 foreign students at the University, representing such countries as: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Moldavia, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Ukraine and other countries. Many of these students are members of the International Club. During its sessions they debate the topical subjects, meet with the representatives of different countries’ embassies and expat communities, hold various panel games and contests. These events help to learn a lot of new facts about this or that country, including its traditions, to discuss relevant issues and to join efforts in fighting the world terrorism.
The XXI century is a century of integration and globalization, which allows the young specialists to find jobs not only in different regions of Russia, but in overseas countries too. A month or a semester academic or scientific traineeship in foreign universities is an excellent way to evaluate your knowledge and obtained skills. Within the Erasmus + programme our students and postgraduates undergo a semester long training in the universities of Latvia and Romania. On their part the students of these universities study at the University of Technology. At the same time our students, who had won the scholarship of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, were sent to different universities of Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia and Czech Republic for a month long traineeship.
In accordance with the signed agreements the University of Technology actively conducts science and educational activities with overseas partner-universities. Presently there are more than 30 such agreements of cooperation and partnership.
The “Inviting Professor” programme, giving our students and postgraduates a unique opportunity to attend the lectures and seminars of the foreign professors (both in Russian and English languages), is successfully implemented at UNITECH. In 2015-2016 academic year among the guests of UNITECH were professors from Azerbaijan, Austria, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Romania and Czech Republic. Our professors, in their turn, have read lectures in the universities of Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic and Uzbekistan.
The University of Technology, being the basis for the science and education cluster of the Moscow region, acts as a modern platform for the international research and practical conferences. The University runs several such conferences within its walls, two of which are of special note: “Innovative technologies in modern education” and “Prospects, forms of organization and efficiency of the Russian and foreign universities collaboration development”. These conferences gather a lot of attendants not only from Russia, but from other countries as well. In 2016 the foreign participants’ share of the total number has amounted to 35%. The results of the conferences are reflected in the edited volumes.
The number of the foreign guests of the International Open UNITECH Olympiad for the schoolchildren is growing annually. In 2016 the share of the foreign citizens among the total number of participants has amounted to 31%.
